About Pet P.A
Different types of animals need different types of care and trying to find someone that can offer a specialized service can be very hard. I know people who have had to cancel going away on holiday, purely because there wasn’t anyone available to look after their pets.
I have been a volunteer for the R.S.P.C.A, worked with farm animals and been involved in wildlife care, having studied at Plumpton Agricultural College. Sometimes the only choice for owners is to put their animals in catteries or boarding placements. Unfortunately sometimes these establishments can be very unnerving and stressful for their visitors. It can take a long time for them to settle down when they are back with you. They normally don’t get the love and attention they would get at home.
That’s where I come in. I will visit your pets in their own home so you won’t have to uproot them. I will ensure your pets are fussed over, fed at their normal times, watered, cages cleaned regularly and most importantly they will have some company and some kind words to keep them happy while you enjoy your holiday.
I will send you emails and texts to let you know how your pets are getting on.
I drive an unmarked car which doesn't highlight the fact that you are away and your house might be empty. Lights will be turned on and curtains open and closed, post placed away from view and plants watered.
Amongst the various different lovely and interesting cat breeds I have looked after there have been several Parrots, Chickens, house bunnies, Hamsters, a Parrot Fish called Bubble, several Tortoises, chunky Chinchillas, Tree Frogs. I haven't had any Snakes or Spiders yet so here's hoping! I thourally enjoy looking after every animal, if I had a house big enough it would be like Noah's ark!
Only once have I had to take a little Devon Rex cat to the vet because he has a tooth absess, but after much sympathy he quickly forgave everyone for the ordeal and happily settled down back at home. I know his owners were very relieved to know all was well and it made such a difference to them knowing he was treated by his usual vet.
